Gaelcholáiste Mhaigh Nuad – Scléip

Ghlac na daltaí ceoil páirt i gcomórtas ceoil le déanaí in aghaidh na hiar-bhunscoileanna Lán-Ghaeilge eile i gCúige Laighean. Rinne siad sár-jab i gcomórtas le go leor tallainne. D’éirigh le grúpaí agus iomaitheoirí aonaracha ón gcéad bhliain agus an tríú bliain buaileadh ar aghaidh chuig an chéad babhta eile – an Chraobh Náisiúnta! Bhí meascán iontach ann idir amhránaíocht, slua-amhránaíochta, rince cruthaitheach agus ceol uirlise agus ár ndaltaí sáite sna heispéiris seo ar fad! Gabhaimid buíochas le na múinteoirí a chabhraigh. Táimid ag súil leis an gcéad lá eile amach in Amharclann Clasach, Cluain Tarbh, Baile Átha Cliath agus muid ag súil le cúpla corn a thabhairt abhaile linn!

Our music students recently competed in a music competition against all of the other Irish-speaking post-primary schools in Leinster. The students put on fantastic performance in a competition that was bursting with talent. Both individuals and groups from first year and third year managed to gain places in the next round of the competition, which will be the All-Ireland final! There was a mixture between solo-singing, group-singing, contemporary dance and instrumental music and our students were involved in all aspects of the competition. Our sincerest gratitude to the teachers who helped the students to prepare for the competition and for giving so freely of their time.  We are very much looking forward to the next day out in Amharclann Clasach in Clontarf West, Dublin and we are hoping to bring some silverware home from our travels there!
