Targeted Youth Employability Support Initiative 2024/2025
Kildare and Wicklow Education and Training Board (KWETB) are inviting applications from community, voluntary and not-for-profit services and organisations in Kildare and Wicklow to deliver a programme for harder to reach young people aged 15-24 years who are not currently in employment, education or training.
The aim of the Initiative is to help young people develop their personal and social competencies and attain a level of confidence with the view to preparing them for onward progression in their employment lives and engagement in currently available programmes or services.
The successful applicants will be expected to work with ‘hard to reach’ cohorts of young people. A certain amount of flexibility is available to organisations in the design and content of their proposed programmes/actions under the Initiative. Good governance and evaluation must be part of the approach being proposed. Applicants must demonstrate a track record of working with this target group.
Maximum value of any application is €55,000, any applications over this amount will not be considered.
All applications will be scored against the criteria outlined in the guidance document. The application with the highest score will be selected. Decisions will be made by a panel within KWETB, before submission to DCEDIY for final decisions and approval.
The Initiative will be funded by the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth (DCEDIY).
