Teaching & Learning Initiative – The teaching staff had a very productive CPD session after school recently when colleagues presented a number of teaching and learning strategies including graphic organisers, literacy and numeracy, the potential of google classroom and accessing heavy text. More collaborative sessions are planned to allow for the further sharing of best practice.
New Subjects – We are delighted to maximise the staff’s potential and expertise and to have facilitated the introduction of a number of new subjects to the already broad range of subjects taught in the school. For the first time, our 1st year students have the option of studying Applied Technology and Italian, while Politics is now an element of the TY range of modules, with a view to it becoming an option at senior cycle next year.
