16th World Chinese Bridge Competition

Confey College 5th-year student Niamh McCleane flew to China on October 15th to represent Ireland in the 16th World Chinese Bridge Competition for Secondary School Students. Contestants from all over the world visited the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, and the Olympic Center in Beijing. 

In the following days, she will fly to Kunming, Yunnan, to begin the 14-day competition. During this period, the contestants will participate in various cultural activities, including visits to a wild elephant habitat, botanical gardens, visit the ancient town, and several ethnic settlements.
